A personal account of EBE
Last weekend I took part in the EBE forum, the second biggest Internet encounter in Europe. 2,500 places were on offer and they were snapped up in eight hours. All the talks were streamed live, which gave the congress a truly ‘viral’ feel. I must admit that I found the whole experience completely absorbing, for a number of reasons. First of all, I met some really interesting people; secondly, I learnt a lot about the latest Internet trends; and thirdly, it was the first time that I’d given a talk to so many ‘twitterers’. The twitterers (myself included) took notes or made comments via twitter as the talks progressed. I’d like to share with you some of my thoughts after giving a talk to a very different kind of audience who, I believe, represent the future. (more…)
